Rihanna is best known for her accomplishments in the music industry, having achieved 13 number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100. However, over the past few years she has been recognised as a style icon in the making. Rihanna is destined to be one of those legendary women who leave an indelible mark on the world of fashion and her impact is becoming more noticeable with each passing season. She is a true designer darling and has inspired collections at the esteemed houses of Balmain, Pucci, and Tom Ford (just to name a few). Every designer wants to dress her and every girl wants to dress like her. She is a true style chameleon in the effortless way she can change up her look – one day it’s “ghetto goth” and the next it’s full-on Hollywood glamour. Rihanna teaches us to take risks, embrace our flaws and most importantly, that fashion should always be fun.
I’m Sheena, a pop culture-obsessed Barbadian, and I created Haus of Rihanna in 2011 as a source for her fans to find out what she is wearing on and off the red carpet. My aim is to keep you up-to-date on Rihanna’s high-low fashion and the designers she loves. This blog almost functions like Rihanna’s personal style diary. To browse through the archives is to learn how her style has evolved over the years and why she was chosen by the Council of Fashion Designers of America as the 2014 Fashion Icon of the Year.
It has been an incredible journey so far, for me, this blog and Rihanna, and I hope you’ll stick around with me as I continue to blog about her amazing style.
A heartfelt thank you to my loyal readers for all your emails, tweets, comments and more. I owe it all to you!
