Rumours have been swirling that Rihanna will be performing at this year’s Met Gala and also making an appearance at the after party. Yesterday she was spotted arriving at a rehearsal space and if you follow her on Snapchat then you know she practised Bitch Better Have My Money. While we are all excited to see what she will wear on Monday (vintage Dior, maybe?), let’s talk about what she wore last night.
Rih’s outfit was a total 90s throwback. Sporting a velvet choker, a short curly auburn ‘do and a bare midriff, she could have fit in with any 90s R&B group. She wore Joyrich‘s King Rich hoodie in white. The baseball jersey-inspired jacket has a striped body and hood with solid black sleeves and gold snap buttons. She’s previously worn the black version. The singer rocked the jacket with a bra top and Acne Studios‘ Generic Girl distressed boyfriend jeans. These jeans have been a staple in her closet for years and now have that perfect worn-in look. She finished the outfit with 6″ premium boots by Timberland.
Rihanna carried Balenciaga‘s Le Dix Cartable S satchel that can be worn across the body. The small handbag has a cute attached mirror and convenient top handle. The entertainer accessorised with Le Specs‘ Wild Child sunglasses in black. The round sunglasses feature a zigzag bar across the top. She also sported a crystal pyramid watch by Unearthen. These unique watches are made with vintage watch straps and quartz crystals. Her rings included Lynn Ban‘s 18k gold crest tip phalanx ring and Sabine G‘s moonstone and sapphire Navona ring.

- Le Specs Wild Child round sunglasses ($80)

After rehearsals she headed to Jay Z’s 40/40 nightclub to watch the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather boxing match. Here she switched up jackets by placing the Joyrich one around her waist and donning a Thrasher hoodie. Thrasher is a skateboarding magazine and this hooded sweatshirt is part of their merchandise. The hoodie has a zip front closure, kangaroo pockets and the brand’s flaming logo on the left breast. She also changed her lipstick to the Shottas matte lipstick by Free Spirits Cosmetics.
Update: Rihanna’s choker is by Pylo. You can purchase the black/green version below.
