Back in 2009 Rihanna did a photoshoot with Fred R. Conrad. She was in the midst of the Rated R era, which brought out a deeper, darker side of the pop star. Here Rih sported a blonde hairdo with the sides shaved that added to the edgy styling that was prevalent during that time.
She wore an outfit from Miss Sixty‘s Fall/Winter 2009 ready-to-wear collection [Look 40]. That year there was a bit of an 80s revival and strong shoulders were to be seen on many a look. This Miss Sixty dress sported the same trend but in a softer yet exaggerated way and the addition of the collage print added to the 80s feel. The deep v neckline showed just the right amount of cleavage while the draping at the sides enhanced the feminine shape of the mini dress. Rihanna rocked the dress with a pair of Dr. Martens 1460 boots in Smooth White ($125). The lace-up leather boots feature the brand’s signature yellow stitching and heel loop, welted construction and a 1″ heel.
