In 2008 Rihanna attended the fifth annual Fashion Rocks show in New York City. The now-defunct programme was created to raise funds for various charities and featured fashion from top designers and performances by the popular entertainers of the day. That night Rihanna kept her look simple and wore a gown from Monique Lhuillier‘s Fall/Winter 2008 collection.
The floor-length, black dress was sleeveless with a ruffle across the top, a jewel detail at the waist and draping around the hips.
Rihanna later performed a cover of Madonna’s hit song Vogue with a group of dancers. She wore a heavily-embellished gold costume designed by The Blonds. The costume comprised a beaded bustier and a feathered head piece. Check out her peformance below.
