Rihanna attended the 2014 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight. This year’s exhibition is in honour of Charles James, one of the few couturiers to come out of the United States and who is best known for his fabulous ball gowns. Just as in 2011, Rihanna wowed on the red carpet in a look by Stella McCartney. This year she wore a white long-sleeved, cropped top with a stunning open back and a floor-length skirt with a full train and draping along the back, both by the eco-conscious British designer. She also wore white pointed pumps by Christian Louboutin.
Rihanna’s jewelry included four carat diamond studs and a choker by Jacob & Co. This choker is absolutely beautiful and it was made with several shapes of diamond including princess cut, emerald cut, pear shape, round cut and oval cut, all mounted on 18k white gold. On her right hand Rihanna sported two rings by Dionea Orcini – a white diamond and topaz ring from their Jaipur collection and a diamond and topaz cage ring from the Linee Misteriose collection. Finally, she wore a white diamond Panthère ring by Cartier. The panther motif is one of the brand’s signatures. On her left hand, she wore two rings by Lebanese jewellers, Yeprem. These included a pavé white diamond Phoenix Flame pinky ring and a Scorpion ring. Visit Plukka to purchase Yeprem jewellery.
