Photograhers caught Rihanna out and about NYC a few hours before she hosted the fourth annual Diamond Ball on September 13. The singer kept it pretty lowkey in a hat, jacket and pumps. Here’s what she wore.
She rocked the white World Food Programme Hat by Balenciaga. The WFP seeks to end world hunger by 2030 and 10% of the proceeds from the sale of this hat go towards the organization. The hat has the WFP logo on the front, the phrase “Balenciaga Supports” on the brim and “Saving Lives, Changing Lives” on the side. It also has an adjustable strap.
Maybe Rihanna wants to kick off a no-pants trend. She wore this Balenciaga green oversized checked blazer ($2,750) with no visible shorts. The double-breasted jacket has two front flap packets and a logo patch on one sleeve.
A pair of Manolo Blahnik‘s Carolyne slingback pumps in patent white complemented the white of her hat.
She accessorised with a pair of Jean Paul Gaultier vintage sunglasses. Made in Japan, these “56-5204” shades date back to the 1990s and feature beige frames. Metallic detail at the temple bears the designer’s name.
Finally, let’s talk about that bag. It’s very rare to spot Rih without a Dior handbag. This time she opted for one of the saddle bags released for Fall 2018. These new versions of the brand’s iconic saddle bag feature prints and patterns pulled from the clothing of the ready-to-wear collection. Rihanna’s bag boasts patchwork denim and embroidery that reads “Peace and Love Dior”. Contact Dior regarding availability and pricing.
