As posted earlier this month, Rihanna graces the cover of CR Fashion Book’s ninth issue. The entire magazine is dedicated to Marie Antoinette and Carine Roitfeld envisions Rihanna as a modern day queen. The team on this editorial included Terry Richardson (photography), Yusef Williams (hair) and Stephane Marais (makeup). Read on to find out what Rihanna wore.
On the cover Rihanna sports a custom corset by Dilara Findikoglu with a pannier from Le Vestiaire. Findikoglu designed that amazing black and white checkered coat that Rihanna opened her V Festival set with last month. This Vogue profile on the emerging designer is a must-read.
Above Rihanna wears a pink flared coat by Dior with some of the brand’s jewellery. These are the Chambre de la Reine necklace (made of white and pink gold and scorched silver with white diamonds and a pink sapphire) and the Salon de Mercure bracelet (made of pink gold, platinum, scorched silver, diamonds and rubies). Both are from the Dior à Versailles collection. Her blue silk taffeta corset is by Kunza Corsetorium. Click here to visit their website.
Next we have Rihanna in a sheer dress with ruffled trim by Rosamosario. The lingerie brand is a favourite of hers. She wore one of their caftans in the Needed Me music video and a custom bra for the MTV Video Music Awards. Fleur of England‘s mint lace derriere brief completes the look. Purchase here for $90.
How amazing does Rihanna look in this jacket by emerging designer Jackson Wiederhoeft? Polygonal crystals adorn this fur-trimmed brocade piece. It’s from Wiederhoeft’s Parson’s graduation show and he took home the top prize. Check out this Design Now article about him. The pink lace bra is by I.D. Sarrieri while Angela Friedman designed the corset. It’s the Veronique corset and it features English lace trim. Purchase here for $515. Rihanna also wears another pannier by Le Vestiaire and pink satin loafers by Giuseppe Zanotti.
Things take a more modern turn with Rihanna in a jacket from Balenciaga‘s Fall/Winter 2016 collection [Look 13]. This is the oversized Swing Doudoune puffer coat ($3,250). The quilted jacket features snap buttons, a branded scarf and a detachable hood.
Finally, we have Rihanna in a full look by Dilara Findikoglu. The corset is from Findikoglu’s Spring 2016 collection while the Virgin Mary-inspired dress with floor-length sleeves is from her graduate collection.
