Before she made her New York Fashion Week debut with the Fenty x Puma Fall 2016 collection, Rihanna hit the event’s black carpet to pose for photographers and speak to media outlets about the collection. Of course, she sported some Fenty x Puma pieces but some of these were not included in the actual runway show.
Firstly, she wore a black hoodie with an oversized fit, zip front closure and kangaroo pocket that was not in the show. Her sheer, spaghetti strap dress is covered in a grunge-y houndstooth pattern overlaid with a Gothic Puma logo and Japanese hiragana words. A pant with the same pattern was included [Look 35]. Her semi-sheer socks that boasted Japanese kanji were modelled by Gigi Hadid and her platform boots were also represented on the runway. The combat boots have a wedge platform sole, chain embellishment and the signature Puma formstripe at the sides. Those are definitely going to fly off the shelves! Check out some runway pics below.
At the after-party she wore wore a thick scarf that appears to be of her own design (note the similarities between the scarf and the hoodie she modelled below), a crop top, a shirt tied around her waist and a skirt from Vetements‘ Spring 2016 collection.Selfridges for $555. She finished the look with socks and boots from the Fenty x Puma Fall 2016 collection. The black and white suede boots have Puma’s formstrip in black on the sides. Everything from that collection will be available to purchase later this year.
