Rihanna’s third collection for Stance launches tomorrow is available now (visit Stance.com) and they gave Vogue an exclusive first look at the campaign. The collection features sheer over-the-knee and ankle socks each bearing the number eight (Rihanna was born in 1988 and she released her eighth studio album earlier this year) along with pretty pastel socks adorned with cute bows. There will be nineteen styles in all in this Summer 2016 collection.
Rihanna wore one of Tuleste‘s amazing pom pom chokers. Her version features three baby blue pom poms attached to a wide gold band. You can order your own choker from their website for $295. FYI: the models sported the accessory brand’s pom pom earrings. They all wore pumps from Juan Carlos Obando‘s Fall/Winter 2015 collection. The metallic t-strap pumps were designed by Paul Andrew and feature a square toe. Andrew’s logo is affixed to the sole. Rih donned pink while the models rocked gold and green.
Below is a behind-the-scenes video that was posted a few days ago. I can’t wait to purchase those thigh-high leg warmers featured in the video!
We got to see Rihanna arriving on set, taking a look at the clothing options for the shoot and modelling for the campaign. You are probably interested in what she wore on set so here are some details.
Firstly, Rihanna turned up at the photo shoot wearing a pair of A-Morir‘s Schubert sunglasses in pink ($200). This style is from their debut 2008 collection and is hand-embellished with tons of Swarovski crystals. Her hat is from Maison Michel and the unique beanie features a snapback closure.
The entertainer was also wearing an oversized bomber jacket by Vetements. The jacket features drop shoulders, elongated sleeves, a front zip closure as well as a zip pocket on one sleeve. She previously wore it to a recording studio. Later in the video we see Rihanna chilling between takes while rocking an archival hoodie by Raf Simons. It’s the white Kollaps hoodie that was part of his Spring 2002 collection. If you’ve been paying attention to previous Raf Simons posts, then you’ll know she got it from David Casavant‘s enviable collection of vintage and archival pieces.
This is the Persephone dress in panacotta (pictured here in sorbet) that is part of the designer’s Bridal 2016 collection. Click here to order ($5,233). She also wore a pair of black lace socks ($16) and the fur slides she designed for Puma that will be released on April 22nd.
Her sunglasses are A-Morir’s Emma shades that were inspired by Emma Bunton of the Spice Girls. The heart-shpaed sunglasses are embellished with clear and gold-plated crystals, pearls and iridescent ovals. You can get them here for $650. Rihanna also wore the Spoiled Brat ankle socks in pink ($16) and a pair of embellished mules with a lucite heel from Area.
