Rihanna Stuns in New Savage

x Fenty Winter Shoot

Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty just dropped some new pieces for the winter season and the “bad gal” herself stars in the campaign. Rihanna served as the face of the brand in the first year but in 2020 we saw brand ambassadors Normani and Megan Thee Stallion a lot more.

The winter theme of this drop called for an equally wintry photoshoot and Rih’s team came through. Her longtime photographer Dennis Leupold worked on this one (he actually does all of their shoots) and Jahleel Weaver styled with assistance from Amir Dayi.

Yusef Williams gave the singer a sexy bouffant hairstyle while Priscilla Ono did her sultry makeup.

The Look

Let’s start with the Savage X pieces. Rih debuted the “Plush Velvet” tie-front unlined bra. The blue and white bra has sheer tulle cups and features a white velvet fabric in a porcelain print. It also has a satin bow at the front as well as a hook-and-eye closure in the back.

The velvet bottom is a sleep short in the same porcelain print. It’s super cute with a ruffled hem and it’s cut to reveal a little bit of booty. There are fun keyhole cutouts in the back secured with satin ties.

Rih and her team continue to support emerging designers with incredible talent. Dingyun Zhang is the newest on the list. She wore a puffer coat from his Central Saint Martins graduate collection (start at Look 153). Amina Muaddi is another designer that Rihanna loves to support. So much so that she asked Muaddi to collaborate on a collection of shoes for Fenty. The singer recently wore a pair of those shoes out and about LA. In this shoot Rih sported the Vita sandals in white. The crystal-embellished ankle-wrap sandals have a sculptural heel. Atsuko Kudo created the Barbadian beauty’s latex pieces. She wore a pair of bespoke opera gloves in white (pictured here in pink). You can order a pair in a wide array of colours.

Her thigh-high stockings are also handmade. They feature holes in the sole for breathable comfort and hold up tabs.

The mogul sported a beautiful selection of jewellery in this photoshoot. Firstly, her earrings are by Hammerman. These are the ceylon sapphire and diamond flower earrings featuring 8.08 carats of sapphires and 1.40 carats of diamonds. Price available upon request.

Her necklace is a vintage piece from Lang Antiques. It boasts three rows of diamonds and sapphires. In fact there are 36 carats of brilliant-cut white diamonds and 30 carats of royal blue sapphires set in platinum.

She also wore two bracelets from Lang Antiques. Firstly, she sported an art deco sapphire and diamond bracelet. The platinum bracelet features brilliant, trapezoid and baguette diamonds and an oval-shaped Sri Lankan sapphire at its centre.

The other is another art deco piece. The bracelet boasts European-cut and baguette diamonds set in platinum. It also features multiple black enamel links.

Rihanna also wore rings, a belly chain and an anklet by XIV Karats as well as a sapphire and diamond drop earring by Yvan Tufenkjian.
