Rihanna Steps Out In McQ

Rihanna wearing Zac Posen Fall 2014 black gownRihanna is back in New York after spending a few days working and spending time with family and friends in Barbados. She’s already prepping for the inaugural Diamond Ball, which takes place on December 11, and judging by Zac Posen‘s recent Instagram video it could be quite the black tie affair. You can see Rihanna twirling in a gorgeous black gown from his Fall/Winter 2014 collection [look 20]. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see which gown she actually chooses but it’s nice to have a little preview.

Rihanna wearing Givenchy black baseball cap, McQ by Alexander McQueen manga print jacket, Roots of Fight Muhammad Ali t-shirt, Marques'Almeida wide leg frayed jeans, Stella McCartney Britt platform shoes, Balmain Pierre handbagRih was also photographed out and about the city and she chose quite an interesting outfit. No sporty outfit has been complete without her Givenchy baseball cap. The simple black hat has a six panel design and a snapback closure. The singer also rocked McQ by Alexander McQueen‘s manga print bomber jacket. The silk jacket is primarily cream and black with allover contrast stitching in a diamond pattern. It also features a striped collar and cuffs as well as Japanese manga graphics on the front and back. Underneath you can spot a modified version of Roots of Fight‘s Muhammad Ali ’74 t-shirt, which has the words “Muhammad Ali Heavyweight Champion” in the foreground and the silhouette of a bee in the background. This is the second Ali top that she has worn from the brand. Earlier this month she wore a pink tank to dinner.

Her jeans are from Marques’Almeida‘s Fall/Winter 2014 collection [look 14]. The wide leg jeans are easily identified thanks to the brand’s signature fraying at the waist and hem. Unfortunately, the pants are currently unavailable online. Rihanna’s shoes are Stella McCartney‘s Britt platform brogues that we saw her in earlier this year. The bright shoes consist of an Oxford upper that sits atop a cork platform and coral soles. She also carried Balmain‘s Pierre tote that was co-designed with jeweller Aurelie Bidermann. Finally, you can spot her MALA by Patty Rodriguez Where you from? necklace that says “Bridgetown”.
