Rihanna’s gift to her fans for Valentine’s Day 2020 came in the form of a behind-the-scenes video about her coffee table book. The release of the video coincides with the launch of a new limited edition version of the book.

Let’s talk about the book first. It’s a super size edition of the coffee table book (9 3/4 x 25 7/8 x 2 7/8 inches or 656 x 500 x 72 mm) and weighs 60lbs. Unlike the other versions of the book, “Love, Rihanna” doesn’t have a picture on the front, just her name. This version is extra special because each one was personally signed by Rihanna. There are only 500 copies available and each one is numbered. Check out the initial post about this book for more information.
Look I

The video begins with Rihanna at the very first meeting with her team to discuss what pictures to include. She enters a room with tons of photographs taken throughout her career. This outfit should look familiar! That’s because this was recorded on August 6, 2016 when she was in Poland for the Anti World Tour. You can actually read my original post about this look.

She wore a Raf Simons tee as a dress. The knit v-neck tee is sleeveless and features a striped collar and raw edges. It also has a ribbed hem.

Rih also sported a pair of black stiletto ankle boots from her defunct Fenty x Puma clothing line. The suede lace-up boots feature the number thirteen (a signature element from the collaboration) and the iconic Puma formstrip.

Rihanna loves this NASASEASONS cap. The phrase “I Came to Break Hearts” is embroidered on the front. And a broken heart is embroidered near the strap.

Back in 2016 we couldn’t see much of Rih’s jewellery due to the quality of the pics but some pieces are quite clear in the video.

In 2016 Rihanna regularly wore an armful of Chopard‘s Happy Hearts bangles. You can see one on her right arm in the video. Pictured above is the white diamond, mother of pearl and 18k rose gold version.

An asymmetrical gold and gemstone cuff by Jacquie Aiche is also visible on that arm. Pictured here is a similar cuff.

Here’s a look at her left arm.

The Barbadian beauty rocked two diamond and yellow gold initial rings by Lynn Ban . One “R” ring for Robyn and one “F” ring for Fenty. Similar rings in black rhodium or sterling silver are available now on Ban’s site for $3,200 each.

On her left arm was a gold President Day-Date watch by Rolex. It has a champagne-coloured face. Watches from this line cost upwards of $10,000.

Additionally, she wore a silver single knot cuff by Jennifer Fisher. The thick bangle features a large knot at one end. Pictured here in gold.
Look II

During the video Rihanna attends a meeting with the Haas brothers, who designed the various stands for three limited edition versions the book.

This look included a hat by Isabel Marant. This is the Evie hat in brown velvet and this baker boy style is a signature piece from the brand.

The international superstar wore an oversized tee from her own Fenty line. The front and back of the Immigrant t-shirt features photos of her native Barbados and dragon artwork. The definition of the word “origin” is printed on the front while the word “immigrant” is on the back.
Bonus!

While perusing the many pictures available for the book, Rihanna snacked on a bag of Herr’s Red Hot potato chips. These are literally my favourite chips in the world. Just another small thing we have in common 🙂
