On December 28, 2018, Rihanna dined at Ours Restaurant in the UK with some family and a few friends. That night is memorable because the singer later went home to cook pasta. Her use of mustard, which is totally normal in Barbados (it’s essential when making macaroni pie), left people worldwide quite scandalised. Anyway, Rih looked ravishing as usual in a vintage Chanel dress. It’s the one she wore in this Instagram photo. It has long sleeves, a zip front closure and pockets. Here’s the rest of her look.
Thanks to Amir, who works on Rih’s style team, I got the details on this jacket. She wore a sold-out Calvin Klein jacket. The nylon and satin piece features two side pockets, a back vent and a bright orange lining. It can be worn with or without a belt. Richard Avedon shot a Calvin Klein campaign starring Brooke Shields back in the ’80s. On the back of this jacket is a yellow patch with a reimagined version of one of those images.
A pair of sheer black PVC pumps by Gianvito Rossi totally matched the vibe of this outfit. The Sabin pump ($720) has a pointed toe, an ankle strap and a 110mm stiletto heel.
Her favourite Azzedine Alaïa bag completed the look. This tiny tote has a triangular shape and top handles. Pictured above is a nude smooth leather version of the same bag.
