Rihanna’s luxury clothing line Fenty uses raw Japanese denim in its designs. The mogul has made it very clear that she is hands on in any project she takes on. So it’s not surprising that last year during her trip to Japan, she made a stop in Shikoku to see how the denim is created.

Rihanna and Fenty deputy creative director Jahleel Weaver met with Masao Oishi, a master of the traditional Japanese form of indigo dyeing. They observed the entire procedure from beginning to end.
In behind-the-scenes footage and photos, we got to see Rih and her team in the indigo fields, speaking with the workers and getting hands-on experience with the dyeing process. Of course, Rih wore pieces from the brand.
The Look

She wore this green oversized bomber jacket that has a bright orange padded lining. It features snap buttons, two front flap pockets and two inner pockets.

Rih also donned a green hoodie (possibly an unreleased design) with denim skinny pants. The dark wash jeans have ankle slits with zippers and gold topstitching. They are available in tall and petite sizes.

The Barbadian native rocked the black version of the Corset boots. The shoes get their name from the corset-inspired design. They feature a front-hook closure, pointed toe and slanted heel.

Her sunglasses are the Centerfold Mask shades in pickle green. Also available in three other colours, the shades feature gold frames and monogrammed tips. The arms are foldable.
Her diamond anhk necklace is from Rafaello & Co.
