Last night Rihanna headlined Rock In Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She gave an amazing performance of her best known hits for a crowd of 85,000 people that included members of her family, her best friends and lots of Rihanna Navy. Of course, that number doesn’t include the thousands more that streamed her set on AOL, Tidal and YouTube.
Rih was styled by Mel Ottenberg who also worked with her at the festival in 2011. Back then she sported a custom striped ensemble by Adam Selman but last night’s outfit was vintage. Rihanna wore a windusit by Issey Miyake that was purchased from Resurrection Vintage. The yellow suit is from 1978 and consists of a voluminous jacket with epaulettes and two front flap pockets along with matching pants that have a paper bag waist and elasticated ankle cuffs. You can take a look at the suit in the photo gallery at the end of this post.
Underneath the jacket the singer rocked a black bodysuit by Isabel Marant compliments Curve. Her jewellery included Fallon‘s Classique crystal strand necklace and the new Monarch pointed choker. Throughout the performance we also got a glimpse of her beloved Jacquie Aiche body chain. The Puma brand ambassador and women’s creative director represented the company well in a pair of their white Basket Classic sneakers. Anyone who reads this blog regularly will recognise these shoes as Rih’s favourite from the brand and you can purchase your own pair below.
