On June 16, Rihanna awarded the 2017 LVMH Prize is Paris. The award goes to an emerging designer and this year’s talent included two designers Rihanna has worked with before. They are Yoom Ambush and Molly Goddard. However, the winner was Marine Serre and hopefully we’ll see Rihanna in one of her creations very soon. It made sense for Rihanna to be there as she is a champion for young designers. Mel Ottenberg accompanied the superstar to the event so he styled her as well. The Dior ambassador repesented in a dress from the Resort 2018 collection [Look 59].
The dress features long sleeves and a front button closure. Rihanna spiced up the look by rocking a deep v neckline and a high slit. She also rocked a handbag, black pumps, a star print bandana and a black hat by Dior. Stephen Jones Millinery designed the latter for Dior. The short Cuban chain is vintage from Au Vase de Delft while the longer one is from XIV Karats. Finally, she sported stud earrings by Harry Kotlar as well as rings and a watch by Chopard. Several of those pieces are from her own Rihanna Loves Chopard collection.
Here’s video of Rihanna giving her speech and also presenting Serre with the coveted award:
