Rihanna British Vogue April 2016 magazine cover

Just when you think you know what Rihanna is up to she surprises you with something new! Rihanna not only covers the April issue of British Vogue but she also launched a mini capsule collection with Manolo Blahnik.

Rihanna British Vogue April 2016 magazine coverRihanna graces British Vogue for a second time wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2016 jacket [Look 16]. The cover was shot by Craig McDean. In one photo from the accompanying editorial she wears a pair of shoes from the capsule collection (check it out below). She told the mag that she’s super excited to see women in her designs and will not hesitate to stop anyone on the streets and ask for a selfie. The issue will hit newsstands on March 10 and you can look forward to the fashion credits from the entire shoot in an upcoming post.

It’s really not that surprising that Rihanna teamed up with Manolo Blahnik. Judging by the number of times she’s worn his Chaos sandal (in just about every variation) and the many custom styles the designer has created for her over the years, it’s safe to say that Blahnik is her favourite shoe designer. The capsule collection is apparently titled Denim Desserts and that’s pretty appropriate as the entire collection is denim-inspired. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the details are also based on Rihanna’s own hand tattoos. The prices for the limited-edition collection will range from $767 to $3,483.50 and it’s expected to be available in May. Here are four of the six styles (and yes, there’s a new version of the Chaos):
