Today Presidents Emmanuel Macron of France and Macky Sall of Senegal co-hosted the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Financial Conference in Dakar, Senegal. The goal of the conference was to raise more than the US$1.3 billion spent on improving education services worldwide over the last two years. Today GPE donor countries agreed to contribute a total of US$2.3 billion over the next two years.
Rihanna attended the conference in her role as Global Ambassador for Education for the GPE. She received the title back in 2016 and met with President Macron last year to discuss their efforts with the organization. If you follow on her Twitter, you know she has been tweeting world leaders to support the cause. Although it’s not the most important info of the day, here’s what Rihanna wore.
Styled by Jahleel Weaver, the superstar philanthropist wore a custom suit by Ralph Lauren. The suit, which has a double-breasted jacket and elongated-pants with an upturned cuff, is inspired by Look 2 from the Fall 2017 collection. Rihanna’s version has a completely different pattern. Hers is a Prince of Wales check, also known as Glen plaid. Rih opted for a black top underneath her jacket.
Rihanna sat in the audience with her manager Jay Brown and in those photos we got a good look at her handbag.
This Dior Addict handbag by Dior is one of her favorites. The tiny bag features the brand’s oblique monogram canvas, a gold logo-embossed closure and a detachable shoulder strap.
