On Sunday Rihanna attended the christening of her baby cousin Nikolai at a church in Barbados. Jay Brown (her longtime manager) and Melissa Forde were also present. Since I couldn’t find the dress the singer wore we’ll just talk about her accessories.
Rih rocked a pair of vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses. These are the Caballero tortoise frames that date back to the 1980s. Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top popularised this style. Rihanna is a Dior ambassador and she carried one of the mini Lady Dior handbags. This particular bag is from a collaboration with London-based artist Marc Quinn to celebrate the opening of Dior’s new boutique in the city. The crinkled silver leather handbag features a floral pattern and Dior charms.
One of the main accessories from Rihanna’s own Fenty x Puma Spring 2017 collection was a lace fan with a pearl wrist strap. She had one of these cuties with her on Sunday. Additionally, she wore a Chopard Happy Sport Diamantissimo watch worth more than $1,500,000. Click here for more details about this piece if you missed the previous post on it. The trendsetter also sported a pair of Dsquared2‘s Riri sandals. Named for the po pstar herself, the silver snakeskin shoes have wraparound ankle straps. Purchase here for $1,285.
After the church ceremony the family gathered for food and photos. Rih opted to be more comfortable in this setting so she changed her shoes.
These are a pair of Balenciaga slippers from the Spring 2016 collection, which happened to be Alexander Wang‘s last as creative director. The lace slip-ons feature tonal beads and flowers. Barneys has them for $1,545.
