Last night Rihanna, her family and specially-invited guests celebrated the star’s 30th birthday at The Grille in New York City. Rihanna entered from a back entrance and there was also a strict no cell phone policy at the black tie event. So unfortunately there are no full-length pictures of her outfit at this time. However, we did get to see enough to make an ID.
Rih wore Look 89 from Saint Laurent‘s Spring/Summer 2018 collection. The voluminous pink top features an off-the-shoulder silhouette while the black mini skirt has an asymmetrical hem. The singer professed her love for this very look in an interview with Vogue last year.
I’m really in love with the oversized pink look. It was like a bubble and tiny skirt, and the skirt went into a point in the front and looked like she was wearing the top of her dress up. It was like a fuchsia cloud, but it was so beautiful to me because it’s so wrong.
Here’s hoping she blesses us with some pics on Instagram once the high of the incredible night wears off. Update: Rihanna did upload a few pics from the event so here’s some more info on her outfit.
Styled by Jahleel Weaver, the superstar also wore a pair of custom Manolo Blahnik sandals and lots of sparkling diamond jewelry. Let’s start with the rings.
Rih wore a pair of earrings by Verdura. According to the brand, these pink topaz and diamond ear clips were originally dress clips from 1951 that were transformed. Each earring weighs 14 cts.
She sported one of Jacob & Co‘s zebra safari dome rings. The $39,000 18k white gold ring boasts 9.48 carats of black diamonds and 7.46 carats of white diamonds.
One of her other rings is this Ruby Blossom ring (£1,290) by Anabela Chan. The 18ct yellow and white gold vermeil ring an 8ct ruby, two ruby and pink sapphire cabochons and hand-set pavé white diamonds that weigh over 16 carats.
On her right hand the Bajan beauty rocked Etho Maria‘s Tsiki bracelet handcrafted with 2,717 diamonds at a 32.70 total ct weight. Price available upon request.
The bracelets on Rihanna’s left hand included a vintage diamond and platinum from Eleuteri. It’s from the 1980s and features brilliant and marquise cut diamonds at a total weight of 25 carats.
Two of her other bracelets are by Oscar Heyman. This one, which is worth $390,000, is a platinum bracelet set with 150 marquise diamonds weighing 37.85 carats.
The other Oscar Heyman bracelet is also made of platinum and white diamonds. Contact the brand for more information.
