NYFW: Rihanna At Alexander Wang Spring 2015

Rihanna is one of those lucky people that gets to call Alexander Wang a friend and yesterday she supported the designer by sitting front row at his Spring/Summer 2015 fashion show. Wang’s new collection is all about sports luxe with knit tops inspired by velocity and handbags and dresses inspired by Air Jordan sneakers. Yes, Air Jordans.

Any collection that references Js has Rihanna’s name written all over it so it comes as no surprise that she carried one of Wang’s Spring/Summer 2015 handbags to the show. The blue, black and white foldover clutch features a print reminiscent of the Air Jordan cement print. She also wore orange suede sandals from this collection. The shoes have a cutout wedge heel and mesh detail.

Rih’s bucket hat and asymmetrical jacket are from Wang’s diffusion line, T by Alexander Wang. These items are just as phresh out the runway because they appear to be from the as yet unseen Spring 2015 collection. Her jewelry included Jacquie Aiche‘s outward trinity bodychain with lapis gemstones, which you may recognise from her recent Mediterranean vacation, and two of Lynn Ban‘s white diamond and yellow gold chevron rings, Reverso ring, Serpent ring, Vortex ring as well as a yellow gold wrought iron cuff from Ban’s Arabesque collection.

Finally, the singer wore some pieces by Ana Khouri. You may recall that she rocked Khouri’s pearl ear cuff to Adam Selman’s Spring/Summer 2015 runway show. This time she wore a yellow gold, white diamond and black pearl velvet star ring (pictured below in white gold) and the Brazilian designer’s Lola yellow gold and diamond cuff bracelet, which costs over $36,000.
