Rihanna for River Island Fall Launch
Rihanna attended the launch and formal presentation of her latest collection with River Island in London. Always a risk taker, she arrived with a spiky ‘do and blue lipstick. Just like the previous Rihanna for River Island launch back in March of this year, she decided to wear pieces from her own collection. These included a black and white varsity jacket with faux fur sleeves, a black mesh bodysuit ($87) and dark wash boyfriend jeans ($125). She accessorised with jewelry by Lynn Ban, a crocodile clutch by Céline and Manolo Blahnik Chaos sandals ($695).
The entire Fall 2013 Rihanna for River Island collection is available for pre-order right now and officially launches in stores on September 12th.
Designer Darling
Rihanna has had a very close relationship with fashion designer Alexander Wang. She’s been wearing his designs for many years, which prompted me to profile the young designer last year (click here to read that post). One click through the Alexander Wang tag will show you the many times she’s worn Wang’s designs since this blog’s inception. So it comes as no surprise that Rihanna is the first person to wear his Spring/Summer 2014 collection that literally debuted at New York Fashion Week just a few days ago. Rihanna was photographed leaving her hotel in London wearing an Alexander Wang Parental Advisory Explicit Content sweater with coated jeans by J Brand. She finished the look with white pumps by Manolo Blahnik.

Chatty Man
Rihanna made an appearance on the 100th episode of Alan Carr’s Chatty Man show where she performed “What Now”. Styled by Mel Ottenberg, she wore a black and white checkered jacket from Saint Laurent‘s Spring/Summer 2014 menswear collection along with skinny leather pants from the same brand. Mel accessorised the look with jewelry from Lynn Ban and white Manolo Blahnik pumps. The show will air later this month.
